| Current Customer Control |
| At the top of most modules
is a drop box entitled “Current Customer”
that holds a list of all customers (companies) entered
in the Contacts module. This field is a control that allows
the user to select the Customer on which to focus their
sales efforts. For example: when documenting value, the
user must select the Current Customer for whom they are
going to measure the impact. |
 |
| Initially the Current Customer
control is blank and will remain so until the user enters
at least one customer in the All Customers folder in the
Contacts module. Then any customer that is entered in
this folder will be displayed in the Current Customer
control list. It is because of this that it is important
to only list customers in the All Customers tab and that
any variations of the company’s name be eliminated. |
 |
| Note: in some modules there
are two other controls for Divisions/Plants and Contracts
that allow the salesperson to define specific “locations”
within the customer’s organization that operate
independently and therefore need to be looked at separately,
or perform evaluations around specific sales opportunities.
